The Italian company, Figosa [1], is a fairly newcomer that makes some cool leather vintage-style camera straps. They cater to the photography enthusiasts and mirrorless camera owners.
The owners of Figosa, Laura & Andrea, were nice enough to send us one of their leather camera straps for review, free of charge (thank you).
Figosa lets you choose between 4 different leather colors – honey, cognac, brown and black – and your choice of gold or silver hardware. We went with the brown leather and gold hardware. You can also choose between 3 sizes: 110cm (~43′), 120cm (~47′) and 130cm (~51′). Since I’m quite tall I went for the 130cm version and mounted the strap to a Sony Nex 6.

Price & Shipping Info
Even though Figosa is based in Italy they offer international shipping through their Etsy shop and shipping costs are very reasonable – between €5.00 and €9.00 ($6.80 and $12.25 USD). Not only do they offer neck straps but they also offer wrist straps that are available in the same choices of colors as the neck straps.
The neck straps – no matter the length you choose – are €25.00 a piece (roughly $34 USD) and the wrist straps are €15.00 (roughly $24 USD).
Our Figosa strap arrived safely to Canada in less than a week!
Some Pros & Cons
The first thing I noticed when I mounted the strap on my camera was that it’s ridiculously easy to do, thanks to the included split ring. Taking my old strap off the camera was quite a challenge though – but that’s a different story.
The strap, on top of looking really slick, feels very comfortable, as you would expect with Italian leather.
I don’t really have anything negative to say about the strap. It looks great, it’s comfortable, it seems durable, and it’s very well-made. The only downside would be that the strap is not adjustable. It may or may not be a bad thing depending on your requirements and your shooting style. All the other camera straps I own can be adjusted and it’s a feature I’m not sure I could do without now though. Maybe we’ll see an adjustable Figosa strap at some point?

Conclusion
If you’re looking for a hand-made Italian leather camera strap, Figosa should definitely be around the top of your list – especially when you consider there are much more expensive alternatives on the market. You can purchase one through their Etsy shop [2].
